We both hail from Europe (Poland and Türkiye). Our first longer trip together was to the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) at the end of 2019. We traversed the region by long-distance night buses, stayed in affordable hostels, embarked on free walking tours, and thawed our frozen hands in the warmth of still-open Christmas markets. Since establishing ourselves in Dublin, Ireland, our travel adventures have multiplied. We’ve spent the majority of our time exploring Spain. For nearly a week, we delved into the wonders of Barcelona, fueled by Aleksandra’s fascination with Gaudí’s architecture and Carlos Ruiz Zafón’s novels. We also journeyed through Andalusia in the country’s south, retracing the footsteps of the former Muslim empire in that region. In addition to extended trips, we experiment with weekend getaways, seizing opportunities for inexpensive Ryanair flights. This approach led us to Amsterdam in the Netherlands and Bordeaux in France.
